antiperspirant 2

A few common active ingredients of antiperspirants are aluminum chloride, aluminum chlorohydrate, and aluminum zirconium. The other ingredients are classed as "inactive" ingredients – these include deodorising fragrances, aerosol propellants etc.

Keeping armpits dry and smelling good is big business. Annually, billions are spent on antiperspirants and deodorants. These products, include roll-ons, sprays, solid sticks, gels, and creams.

However, there are antiperspirants designed for hyperhidrosis sufferers which contain the active ingredient aluminum chloride hexahydrate. This ingredient can cause skin irritation.
