Anti Perspirant

Anti Perspirants are products which are applied topically to reduce the production of sweat at the site where it is applied. Most mass market manufacturers claim that their antiperspirant effectively reduces sweat all day long. Yet if you suffer from hyperhidrosis, you will have applied anti perspirant, put on your shirt, and within minutes your shirt can be soaking wet.

With the major anti perspirant brands concentrating on the 97% of the population who don't have a severe sweat problem, how do you find an anti perspirant which truly works for hyperhidrosis sufferers ?

Aluminium Chloride
Anti perspirants, unlike deodorants have an active compound designed to reduce sweating. This compound is usually aluminium based and works by forming a temporary plug within the sweat duct that stops the flow of sweat to the skin's surface. All good in theory, but our customers tell us that the specialist clinical strength / prescription strength aluminium anti perspirants they have used have either caused skin irritation, failed to be effective or both.

If you suffer from hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) of the feet, hands or underarms, please see the exclusive range of advanced Anti Perspirants which we recommend.
