Shaving your armpits will not reduce the amount of sweat you produce, but it will reduce the amount of odour. By getting rid of hair, bacteria has fewer places to multiply. For most people, it is the bacteria which smells, not the sweat itself.

If you suffer from Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), you may want to reduce your intake of foods which have been found to increase the amount we sweat - it will not cure your problem, but it might help.
